The EXHYCompact series delivers high-torque hydraulic cutterhead performance on any excavator boom. Three diameters cover every application from tight harbour work to large-area land reclamation. All share the same 1116cc radial piston motor, 250 BAR pressure circuit, and universal mounting frame.

Every EXHYC model uses the same hydraulic motor, same pressure circuit, same SPT rating and the same universal mounting system. Only diameter and tooth count change.

Engineering
How the EXHYC Works

The EXHYCompact is more than a cutter — it is a complete soil fluidisation unit that integrates directly with any excavator-mounted dredging pump.

Excavator Boom Mount
Bolts to the vortex casing of the HDS pump via the universal HDS frame. The excavator boom positions the entire pump+cutterhead assembly. No separate mounting crane needed.

Radial Piston Drive
The 1116 cc radial piston motor delivers maximum torque at low RPM — ideal for cutting through compact soil and clay without stalling. Smooth power curve reduces shock loads on the excavator.

One Direction Rotation
Left or right rotation. Shaft is either left or right threaded for heavy duty application. Reverse rotation is not permitted.

Fluidisation to Suction
The spinning cutter blades fluidise compacted material into a pumpable slurry directly at the pump suction inlet — eliminating the need for a separate agitator or slurry mixer.

Variable RPM Operation
Operator controls flow rate via the excavator auxiliary valve. Low flow = high torque, slow RPM for hard soils. High flow = fast RPM for loose silt. Full range: 40–100 RPM depending on model and material.

Jetting Ring Option
Optional jetting ring delivers pressurised water through the cutter to pre-soften very hard clay before cutting. Dramatically increases productivity in difficult ground conditions without changing the pump setup.
