⚠️ Important: Choosing the Right Cutterhead for Demanding Job Sites
For heavy-duty dredging operations, using the right cutterhead is critical to ensure performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Make sure your choosen cutterhead meets these essential specifications:
- Power Output: Minimum 20 kW
- Rotational Speed: At least 30 RPM
- Torque: Over 4000 Nm for maximum cutting force
A properly matched cutterhead ensures smoother operation and higher productivity—especially in hard soil, clay.

Explore the EXHYC 4200 - 800 hydraulic powerful cutterhead – excavator for dredging compacted sand and clay. Made in Belgium for heavy-duty excavation projects like mounting on an existing Suction Dredger.

        Compact and Robust Design
  • Motor housing made of spheroidal graphite EN-GJS-500-7. Better than steel, welded motor housing for dredging in sea -& brackish water (better corrosive resistance).
  • Powerful, High Torque than others
  • Thanks to its compact and lightweight design, it is ideal for retrofitting on existing suction dredgers – with one or two EXHYC 4200 units.
  • Excavators-Cutter heads with self cleaning vanes mounted side wards of the suction mouth evacuating over-sized materials, instead of pushing the over sized materials into the inlet of the pump and needing a frequent cleaning stop.
  • Excavators-Cutter heads circumferencial speed ±125 meter/min for general dredging works.
                         Reliable
  • Designed with an oversized, unbreakable, oxidation resistance shaft and bearings, fully enclosed in an oil-filled housing for optimal lubrication and cooling.
  • Shaft sleeve is made of Diamix, a water atomized NiCr, BSI. High hardness low friction. Fitted with teflon and nitrile combination seals.
  • Seal Flushing connection to increase life span of the seals.
  • The key advantage: the cutter head bolted on a threaded flange which itself screwed on a threaded shaft – not connected with keyed joints like those used by many other manufacturers, which tend to wear out quickly.
          Easy to Maintain and Cost-
          Effective to Repair
  • Thanks to the reduced number of bushings and unnecessary components – unlike others – can be repaired in just a few hours
