The HDS 110 is a professional-grade submersible dredging pump manufactured by HDS Belgium (Hydraulic Dredging Systems). This heavy-duty pump delivers 62 kilowatts (83 horsepower) with an 150-200 millimeter (6-8-inch) discharge size, capable of pumping 360 to 400 cubic meters per hour (1,585-1,760 gallons per minute) with a head range of 19 to 26 meters (62–85 feet).

Key Features and Construction

Superior wear resistance with 27% high-chrome casting impeller & wearplates hardened to 62 Rockwell C. Double seal cartridge protection in oil bath. Continuous duty rating at low speeds. Impeller width 70mm (2.76 in) with 60mm (2.4 in) diamater strainer. Tempered stainless steel shaft (AISI T-431 DIN 1-4057).

⚠️Important Informations before choosing the right dredging pump :
​- Pumps designed for 1450 RPM - Thus higher speed results to higher wear of the wear plates, impeller, casing and agitator.
- Higher RPM results in higher capacity and head.
- To avoid higher wear when pumping abrasive sand RPM should be limited to recomended speed of 1150~1200 RPM.
- Silt and mud may be pumped at higher RPM, because it is less abrasive.​

​- Our performance curves are based on practical duty points for pumping coarse sand up to 4 mm grain size, providing reliable and realistic expectations in the field.
- Pumping sand through PE-pipes diameter 150, 200, 250mm. Distance up to max. 500 meters.
- There are similar dredging pumps from other manufacturer capable to pump dust of 0,1mm over a distance of 3000 meter.
- Note : Every water pump can pump dust of 0,1mm over a distance of 3000 meter.

Important Operating Notes

Read these before specifying the HDS 110 for your project — they apply to all HDS pumps and affect real-world output.

RPM & Wear Trade-off
Pumps are designed for 1450 RPM maximum. Higher speed = higher capacity and head, but also higher wear on wear plates, impeller, casing, and agitator. For abrasive sand, limit to 1150–1200 RPM to control wear.

Sand vs Silt/Mud
Coarse sand is the most abrasive material — run at recommended 1150 RPM max. Silt and mud are far less abrasive and may be pumped at higher RPM without excessive wear.

Performance Curves
All HDS performance curves are based on practical duty points pumping coarse sand up to 4mm grain size — providing realistic field expectations, not laboratory dust figures.

Beware "Dust" Claims
Other manufacturers publish curves for 0.1mm dust particles over 3000m distances. Any water pump can do this. HDS specs are for real dredging: coarse sand, 4mm grain, max 500m pipeline.

Pipeline Sizing
Use PE pipe Ø150mm, 200mm, or 250mm. Maximum recommended discharge distance is 500 metres. Longer runs require a booster pump — contact HDS for system design advice.

Excavator Requirements
Requires 20-tonne class excavator minimum with auxiliary hydraulic circuit. Operating pressure 242–300 BAR, oil flow 120–135 L/min. Compatible with CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu, Volvo, Doosan, and all major brands.

  • Threaded fixations on both side of the pump casing allowing fixation of jetting ring or dredging cutter heads-excavators for hard soil and clay or mixing to fluidify heavy mud with low water content.

  • The shaft sleeve is made of Diamix and features both Nitrile and Teflon seals.
  • Our wear plates and impellers are made of white cast iron with 27% chromium content and a hardness of 62 HRC. EN-GX260Cr27 provides exceptional wear resistance under extreme abrasion conditions in dredging, slurry pump applications, and mining.
